When I find makeup I love, I find it hard to break away from the habit of repeatedly repurchasing rather than trying something new. I definitely think I've gotten better at this recently, but when you're in a rush you need those tried and tested products you know will work, and here are mine!

The first thing I tend to reach for is the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Compact Cream Foundation. I mentioned this foundation here, and how I find it perfect for using as a base under my eyes and over my cheeks where I tend to get a lot of redness. I then use my Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation over my entire fect using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. This foundation lasts all day and isn't too heavy or cakey. As i've mentioned before, I get some pretty dark circles under my eyes, so I brighten them up with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer using the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush. Anyone who has used this concealer will know that all of the ink from the packaging will end up all over your fingers, then most likely all over your face when you use your fingers to blend.. be warned! I love this concealer though, I always know which shade to buy and that it does the trick. Simple. Finally, I set that all with the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I've used this powder for years, in fact, I think my Mum introduced me to it when I was a kid and used to play with her makeup. It's just one of those powders that, for me, does exactly what it says on the tin!

Now for the slightly more fun stuff.. For contouring I LOVE the Sleek Face Contour Kit. I use the shade Light and it's perfect for me. With the Real Techniques Buffing Brush I use the dark powder to contour my cheekbones, nose, forehead, under my lip and around my jawline. This powder takes some blending, but the buffing brush is perfect for working it in. I then use Bourjois Bronzing Powder with my Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush to give my face some more colour! This is another product I've used for years and I think I'll always have one stashed away somewhere. To make sure I look somewhat natural, I then use Natural Collection Blusher in Sweet Cheeks with a Real Techniques Blush Brush (can you tell I like Real Techniques?!)

If I'm keeping it simple, I'll line my eyes with the Rimmel London Exaggerate Eyeliner, smudging the liner into my lower lash line. I then add a sweep of Benefit's They're Real Push-Up Liner across my top lash line, and lashings of Benefit's Roller Lash, which has quickly become my absolute favourite mascara of all time.
